OUR INSTRUCTORS
Senpai Sandra Coffey started her karate training in 1998 with Sensei Denis Cordeiro. Since then, her determination and desire to succeed have made her an accomplished karateka.
On October 9 2004, Senpai Sandra went to New York to fight Sensei Michelle Gay in the historic event “A Woman’s Right to Fight”. She successfully tested for her Black Belt on May 20 2005 in Danbury CT, in the presence of the Grand Master, Hanshi Manny Matias. In June 2010, she took her 2nd dan promotion test, becoming the first Montreal Kanreikai Senpai to reach that rank.
Senpai Sandra has been teaching karate “with passion” at our dojo since 2005. Senpai Sandra is a dynamic and dedicated instructor, appreciated by both children and adults. As a karateka and an instructor, she is a perfect illustration of the philosophy of World Kanreikai Karate.
