Kanreikai World Karate Championship 2009, Danbury, CT |
November 7, 2009 - Hanshi Manny Matias of World Kanreikai Karate Headquarters hosted the third edition of the Kanreikai World Karate Championship in Danbury. For the first time, the Championship included kata, weapon kata and junior semi-knockdown fighting events during the day.

October 31, 2009 - Again this year, our special Halloween classes were a great success. Several Senpai and students showed up wearing colorful costumes, ready to have a good time.
Sensei Denis, dressed as a "very hairy caveman", led the troops of sorcerers, ninjas, transformers, monters, etc.!! Everyone had a great time training and playing games! |

Montreal Kanreikai at the American International Karate Championships in Rochester, NY, USA |
October 10, 2009 - Sensei Denis Cordeiro and Senpai Michaël Cordeiro traveled to Rochester, NY to take part in the 19th edition of the American International Karate Championships, hosted by Shihan Mike Monaco.
Coached by Sensei Denis, Michaël fought very well and took the second place in semi-knockdown fighting (15-17 years old division).

August 15, 2009 - Again this year, the World Kanreikai Karate Beach Training session was a huge success! Under a splendid sun, Sensei, Senpai and students from the Montreal and Joliette schools joined Hanshi Manny Matias for a "splashing" training session!!
Everyone had lots of fun. After the training, students and their families swam, played in the water and enjoyed a nice picnic under the trees! |
